Career highlights

Since 1996 I have completed projects for companies including Avon, BBC, Casio, Coventry University, David Lloyd, Eminence Speakers, Marshall Amplification, Martin Audio, New College Nottingham, NHBC, Pernod Ricard UK, Scholastic, Siemens Medical, Tascam, Teac, Tetley, University of Hertfordshire and

Here is a small list of some of those projects (in no particular order)

Scholastic website on a tablet

Scholastic wanted a more modern look and feel to their website. I joined the in-house team and was part of the transformation of their website and online store. As part of this project I was involved in preparing existing css and html, creating a modular framework using less, adapting and developing design visuals and making the site responsive. We have been able to use an agile approach and get the new look and feel live ahead of expectations.

Morrck mobile website on a smart phone

Morrck is an independent manufacturer of baby products. They wanted to redevelop their existing website to improve sales. I tightened up the branding by creating a house style, redeveloped their website in Magento and stepped in as art director for photo shoots. Over the 6 years that I have been working with Morrck, their business and sales have consistently and substantially grown.

Black Shilling

BlackShilling dashboard web app on a laptop

A new startup in the property market needed a visual identity for the project and UI for website. I produced the logo with mini brand guidelines, website style guide as well as wireframes and visuals for key pages to be passed on to development team, allowing them to develop the site with a consistent visual styling.

NHBC website on a laptop

NHBC wanted to bring their website in line with their printed marketing, increase customer engagement and improve how staff felt about the site. I improved the site’s typography, developed visual styles in line with other marketing materials and created specific pages that displayed complex information in a more interactive and engaging way. This had a large improvement in the how the site was viewed and perceived by both customers and staff.

Babybond booking application on a laptop

Babybond required a unified method for customers to book appointments. I planed, designed and developed a web application that allowed customers to select the right date for their scan at their preferred location, based on their conception date. The application handled around 75% of bookings each month.

Coventry University

Coventry University FaceBook application on a laptop

The university wanted to increase audience engagement on their Facebook page. Liaising with the university’s in-house marketing team and designers, I produced UX wireframes and developed an interactive guide for new and potential students. As a result there was a significant increase of “likes” on the Facebook page and beating all targets within the first month.

We get many compliments from our customers about the website and noticed that, they browse many more pages and the length of the average stay on the website has increased by approximately 400%. This has resulted in more sales. Isobel Thompson, Morrck Limited

Babybond Ltd. required a new, additional website to realise an online affiliation program. Not only was creative flair (in website design) a necessity, but also detailed technical knowledge to realise our SEO goals efficiently. I was delighted that Jonny delivered exceptionally on both counts in such a quick manner. Mike Steward, Babybond Ultrasound Direct
